I have been receiving information that our hours were incorrectly  stated.  Apparently, people have been pulling an OLD article written in Montpelier Bridge, and this was written in 2009!  At that time, we WERE open 10-4, and before I became webmaster to this site, this OLD historical article was the ONLY thing that was on our supposed page.  It was written right after we opened, and the information was just loaded there.

Today, I went to this document, and REMOVED the old hours, and changed them as needed.  I added the changes in RED, and my intention is to add this document into the Thrift Store Submenu, and i will also edit the ministries page so that this document is NOT telling people the wrong hours.

The Thrift Store will follow the following schedule for the Week of Thanksgiving:

Saturday. November 26. 2022:  OPEN 10AM to NOON

The Thrift Store will be open on Saturdays, from 10 AM to NOON with the EXCEPTION of Saturday. December 24th:  Following the Christmas Holiday, we will Close for a short while. through January 1, 2023.  We will be discussing hours for 2023 at a later date, so please feel free to check back here for further details.

This morning, I changed the thrift stores phone message . It had been several months since this had been done, and I wanted to make sure that we were pretty sure what we are going to run for hours for the foreseeable future . To that end, I have changed the message to indicate that it had been changed today , October 22nd 2022 .

So basically, if you're looking to leave a message for one of our staff, or you're looking to leave information about a donation that you wish to drop off , please feel free to leave a message on our phone system , and someone will return your call as soon as possible . Please be advised that Brian is only in the store on Saturdays for the time being , and we'll be checking messages sporadically throughout the week.

Please feel free to call us : 802 - 229 - 9155 , and leave us a message with your name number and the time of your call . Someone will return your call as soon as it is possible, however it may be the following week after the message has been left .

You may also feel free to e-mail us directly at [email protected], Brian checks this e-mail address at least once per week , for any feedback regarding the website , or any customer related issues . If for some reason you wish to have me e-mail you back, when you leave a message, please leave me your e-mail address, and I will be glad to oblige .

You may also visit our contact page, and send a message through our contact form . If you would like to get ahold of the director directly , you may use the store dash director (at) outlook DOT Com. 

Please be advised that all communication sources are monitored, however responses may take up to 24 hours at the minimum to 72 hours at the maximum, depending on how busy we are or what is going on. Please also be advised that we are monitoring our public address , so we ask that you do not spam us with junk mail. If we find that it is necessary, we will end up adding more anti spam measures to our website to make sure that we are not getting overrun with junk mail .

Today, I have added additional information from the Current Thrift Store Page, and have transitioned Store Policies over to the TUMC site on trinityvt DOT org.  There is still work to do, but a good portion of the menu system has been updated to accept the content from BBDC, and we will continue to update information, adding additional pages to the Thrift Store TOP menu, and we will also make changes to the website footers as necessary to accommodate the change(s) requested.

Some Functionality may not appear yet, or may need to be edited as we work to implement relevant content from the BBDC domain.  I ask for your continued patience, prayers, and support as I work to transition the content over to this site.  We will be adding content in sections, as time allows!

Trinity Community Thrift Store is in the midst of making changes that will bring the Thrift Store Website from buddy-baker.com/store to Trinity's website.  This way, Store Website content will reside here on TUMC's website, and can be better managed under ONE domain, rather than two.  Over the next few months, you will see content moving over to TUMC, and transiting away from BBDC. 

I have also accepted the additional responsibilities that will allow me to assist the Church, The pastor, and the community with their web presence online!  This will give me what we SORELY need, and that is an updated website, with current information, which can be added to the site quickly, and we can also make sure that our website is providing the best information possible.

Additionally, it will give us an opportunity to evaluate what is needed, wanted, and we can then add functionality to the website that will give us the best site possible :)_

In Closing, it is an HONOR to serve Trinity United Methodist Church in any capacity that I can, and with the additional role as Associate Webmaster, I can not only serve the community as Director of the Thrift Store Ministry, but I can make sure that we have the BEST website we can, and also learn new things as we move forward :)
